Product Description
NMK modular slip-ring motors are designed for heavy load inertia applications. Slip-ring motors serve as an ideal solution for working conditions requiring high starting torque and low starting current. They are particularly suitable for heavy load inertia equipment such as mill drives, or applications under weak power grid conditions.
NMK slip-ring motors reduce mechanical stress during startup and extend the service life of driven equipment. The motors deliver high availability and stable high torque across the full speed range. They are widely applied in mills, crushers, fans and conveyors for mining, cement and metal industries. Besides, they provide reliable power for pumps in water treatment industry, as well as pumps, compressors and mixers in non-hazardous areas of petrochemical industry.
NMK slip ring motors come with shaft heights from 400 mm to 710 mm. IC611/IP55 and IC81W/IP55 are standard cooling and protection configurations, with maximum rated power up to 10,000 kW.
The motor adopts welded steel frame. The slip ring assembly can be equipped with permanent contact brushes or brush lifting mechanism. In both configurations, slip rings are enclosed inside a housing at the N-end, separated from the main motor frame. Liquid resistance starter (LRS) is available upon request.
This catalog only displays typical technical parameters of 6kV and 11kV, 50Hz, 4-pole, 6-pole and 8-pole NMK motors. Mounting Arrangements
IM B3 and IM 1001 (Horizontal foot mounted) are standard mounting types for NMK motors. Other mounting forms such as IM1002 can be customized on request.
Enclosure and Cooling
Standard combinations for NMK motors are IC611/IP55 and IC81W/IP55. Other cooling types like IC616 and IC86W are available upon request.
IC611/IP55: This fully enclosed design is fitted with an air-to-air heat exchanger mounted on the motor body. Shaft-driven fans are installed inside the motor frame, inside the slip ring housing and outside the casing to drive internal and external cooling circuits separately. The motor can resist dust and splashing water from all directions.
IC81W/IP55: This totally enclosed motor is equipped with air-to-water heat exchangers mounted on the motor main body and slip ring unit housing. A shaft-mounted fan inside the casing maintains the internal cooling circuit. The motor provides protection against dust and splashing water from all directions.
Packaging
Standard export seaworthy packaging. Plywood case or fumigated wooden case. Suitable for long-distance transportation by sea and land.
Warranty Period
Standard warranty term: 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after delivery, whichever occurs first. Extended warranty service is available. Please contact us for further information.
