The HXR 560 Series rib-cooled motors are designed for heavy-duty industrial applications. Featuring a rugged cast iron frame, these are totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) motors. While IC411 cooling and IP55 protection are standard, the series offers flexibility with optional IC416 forced cooling and IP66 protection for harsh environments.
These motors cover a massive output range up to 2,250 kW and are available in a shaft height of 560 mm. They are engineered to operate efficiently at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, supporting synchronous speeds from 500 to 3,600 rpm.
The HXR series supports standard industrial mounting configurations:
Standard Configuration: IC411 / IP55
The standard HXR motor utilizes an external shaft-mounted fan that uses surrounding air for cooling (IC411). The enclosure provides protection against dust ingress and water jets from any direction (IP55).
Optional Configuration: IC416 / IP55
For low-speed applications or variable speed drive (VSD) operations, the motors can be equipped with IC416 cooling. An independent motor drives the cooling fan to ensure consistent cooling regardless of the main rotor speed.
