Product Description
The HXR560 rib-cooled motor adopts a rugged cast iron frame and is designed as a totally enclosed fan-cooled motor. The standard configuration features IC411 cooling and IP55 protection. IC416 cooling and IP66 protection are available as optional configurations.
The HXR560 series covers an output range of up to 2250 kW and is available with a shaft height of 560 mm. The motor can be mounted horizontally or vertically, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
Although the catalog mainly presents technical data at 50 Hz, the motor is suitable for both 50 Hz and 60 Hz operation, with synchronous speeds ranging from 500 to 3600 rpm.
Mounting Arrangements
- IM B3 / IM 1001: Standard floor mounting with feet facing downwards, suitable for horizontal foot-mounted installation.
- IM V1 / IM 3011: Flange mounting with the free shaft end facing downwards, suitable for vertical solid-shaft, flange-mounted installation.
Enclosure and Cooling
Standard Configuration: IC411 / IP55
The motor is equipped with an external shaft-mounted fan that uses ambient air for cooling. The IP55 enclosure provides protection against dust ingress and water jets, ensuring reliable operation in most industrial environments.
Optional Configuration: IC416 / IP55
The IC416 cooling method uses an independently driven cooling fan. This configuration is especially suitable for low-speed applications and variable-speed drive operation, where self-ventilation may be insufficient.
IP55 Protection
- Limited dust ingress is possible, but not enough to affect normal operation.
- Water projected by a nozzle from any direction does not cause harmful effects.
- IP66 Protection
- Completely dust-tight enclosure.
- Powerful water jets from any direction do not cause harmful effects.
- Cooling Method IC411
- The motor frame surface is cooled by air circulation.
- Heat is transferred through the external surface of the motor to the surrounding air.
- Cooling air is circulated by a fan mounted on the motor shaft, depending on rotor speed.
Packaging
The motor is packed in standard seaworthy packaging suitable for export, including plywood cases or fumigated wooden cases. The packaging is designed for long-distance transportation by sea or land.
Warranty
Standard warranty: 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after delivery, whichever occurs first. Extended warranty is available upon request.
