1. Product Overview

AXR series rib cooled motors represent our latest generation multi-purpose rib cooled motors, featuring high power density, flexible configuration and convenient maintenance. Designed and manufactured based on decades of electric motor production experience, these motors set a new industry benchmark, delivering superior power-to-weight ratio compared to traditional rib cooled motor solutions.

Thanks to its high power density design, users can select a motor with one smaller frame size for the same output power. This greatly saves installation space and supports more compact mechanical layout.

AXR motors comply with API 541, Shell DEP and other mainstream industrial standards, and can also meet customized customer requirements. The motor adopts robust cast iron frame.
Standard configuration includes IC411 rib cooling system and IP55 protection class. IC416 cooling and optional IP66 protection are available upon request. The IP66 rating has been tested and certified by an authoritative independent testing institute.

The AXR motor power range reaches up to 1800 kW, with shaft height covering 315 ~ 500 mm. It supports both horizontal and vertical mounting. The catalog covers technical parameters under 50Hz and 60Hz, with synchronous speed ranging from 500 rpm to 3600 rpm.

2. Mounting Arrangements

Three standard mounting forms are available for AXR motors:

• IM B3 (IM 1001): Horizontal foot-mounted, base downward, standard floor installation.
• IM V1 (IM 4011): Vertical flange mounted, solid shaft end downward.
• IM B35 (IM 2001): Horizontal foot & flange combined mounting, flange integrated on end shield, single cylindrical shaft extension, feet downward.

3. Enclosure and Cooling System

Standard Configurations

IC411 / IP55
AXR motor is fitted with an external shaft-driven fan, which utilizes ambient air for heat dissipation. The enclosure provides protection against dust ingress and water jets.

IC416 / IP55
IC416 cooling option uses an auxiliary motor to drive the cooling fan. It is suitable for low-speed working conditions, especially for applications powered by variable frequency drives.

IP55

• Dust protection: Limited dust ingress allowed, dust volume will not affect normal motor operation.
• Water protection: Resists water jets from any direction.

IP66

• Dust protection: Fully dust-tight enclosure.
• Water protection: Withstands powerful water jets (12.5 mm nozzle) from all directions without damage.

IC411 Cooling Principle

• Frame surface cooling: Internal coolant circulates inside the motor in closed loop. Heat transfers through stator core and conductive components to the motor outer ribbed surface, then dissipates into surrounding air.
• Self-circulation: Coolant circulation relies on motor rotation. The airflow is driven by rotor-mounted fan or pump assembly mechanically coupled to the main motor shaft.

4. Packaging

Export standard seaworthy packing.
Options: plywood case or fumigated wooden box.
Suitable for long-distance sea and land transportation.

5. Warranty

Standard warranty term: 12 months from commissioning date or 18 months after shipment, whichever comes first.
