Product Description
1. Product Overview: HXR 560 Rib Cooled Motors
The HXR rib cooled motor adopts a heavy-duty cast iron frame. It is a totally enclosed fan cooled motor with IC411 cooling and IP55 protection as standard. IC416 cooling system and IP66 protection class are available as optional upgrades.
HXR series motors deliver output power up to 2,250 kW with 560 mm shaft height. Horizontal or vertical mounting options are supported.
This catalog only lists 50 Hz technical data for HXR motors. However, the units can run on both 50 Hz and 60 Hz power supplies, with synchronous speed ranging from 500 rpm to 3600 rpm.
2. Mounting Arrangements
IM B3 (Code I: IM B3, Code II: IM 1001)
Standard floor mounting, feet downward for horizontal foot-mounted installation.
IM V1 (Code I: IM V1, Code II: IM 3011)
Flange mounted with free shaft end facing downwards, vertical solid shaft design.
3. Enclosure and Cooling
Standard Combination: IC411 / IP55
HXR motors are fitted with an external shaft-driven fan, which uses ambient air for heat dissipation.
IP55 protects the motor against ingress of dust and water jets. A small amount of dust may enter the housing but will not impair motor operation. Water jets sprayed from any direction will not cause damage.
Optional Combination: IC416 / IP55
IC416 cooling uses an independent auxiliary fan motor. This design provides sufficient cooling for low-speed operation, especially when the motor is driven by variable frequency drives.
Optional IP66 Protection
IP66 version achieves fully dust-tight enclosure. Powerful water jets from any direction (12.5 mm nozzle) will not harm the motor.
IC411 Cooling Principle
Frame surface cooling: Heat is transferred from internal closed coolant through stator core and conductive components to the ribbed motor outer surface, then dissipated to ambient air. Ribbed casing improves heat exchange efficiency.
Self-circulation: Coolant circulation relies on main motor rotation, driven by rotor-mounted fan or pump assembly mechanically coupled to the main rotor.
4. Packaging
Export standard seaworthy packing, plywood case or fumigated wooden case.
Suitable for long-distance sea and land transportation.
5. Warranty Period
Standard warranty: 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after delivery, whichever comes first.
