High Reliability and Availability
AMI engineered modular induction motors are designed to provide exceptional reliability and availability in the toughest and most demanding industrial applications. Built upon the motor industry's most successful modular platform, these motors are tailor-made to match a broad variety of requirements while offering the flexibility to be adapted to highly specific configurations.

AMI modular induction motors comply with all relevant international standards and are available for both direct-on-line (DOL) and variable speed drive (VSD) operation. Featuring a robust welded steel frame, standard shaft heights range from 400 to 630 mm. While this catalog highlights technical data at 50 Hz, these motors operate efficiently at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with synchronous speeds from 500 to 3600 rpm.

Mounting Arrangements
Standard mounting options include:

• IM B3 (Code II: IM 1001): Horizontal foot mounted.
• IM V1 (Code II: IM 4011): Vertical flange mounted (free shaft end facing downwards).
  Other mounting arrangements are available upon request.
• Enclosure and Cooling Options
• IC01 / IP24: A weather-protected motor with an internal shaft-mounted cooling fan. The design reduces the ingress of rain, snow, and airborne particles by limiting air intake velocity to under 3 m/s and utilizing three acute direction changes (>90 degrees) to settle heavier particles. Protected against splashing water from any direction.
• IC611 / IP55: A fully enclosed design featuring an air-to-air heat exchanger. Shaft-mounted fans are fitted both inside and outside the casing to supply separate cooling circuits. Protected against dust and splashing water.
• IC81W / IP55: A fully enclosed motor equipped with an air-to-water heat exchanger and an internal shaft-mounted fan. Protected against dust and splashing water.
• IC31 / IP55: Fitted with inlet and outlet pipes for remote cooling air. Essentially the AMI motor frame without an upper cover, protected against dust and splashing water.
• Packaging
  All motors are shipped in standard seaworthy packaging, utilizing plywood or wooden fumigation packages suitable for long-distance transportation by sea or land.
• Warranty Period
• Standard Warranty: 12 months after commissioning, or 18 months after delivery, whichever comes first.
