Product Description
AMI series modular induction motors deliver outstanding reliability and operational stability for heavy-duty, demanding industrial applications such as cement plants.
Developed based on a mature modular motor platform, AMI motors can be customised to satisfy diverse and highly specialised working requirements. All designs comply with global relevant industrial standards. Motors support both direct-on-line startup and variable speed drive operation.
The motor adopts welded steel frame as standard structure. Multiple combinations of cooling systems and protection grades are optional: IC01/IP24W, IC611/IP55 and IC81W/IP55. The standard frame height ranges from 400 mm to 630 mm, supporting horizontal and vertical installation modes.
This catalogue lists technical data under 50Hz condition only. Nevertheless, AMI motors can operate stably at both 50Hz and 60Hz. The power range covered in this catalogue reaches up to 8,000 kW, while the full AMI product range extends to 23,000 kW.

Enclosure & Cooling System Introduction
IC01 / IP24
This weatherproof motor is equipped with a shaft-driven internal cooling fan. The airflow route is optimised to limit average air velocity below 3 m/s, allowing heavy particles to settle. The air path contains more than three sharp turns exceeding 90°, further optimising airflow and preventing rain, snow and suspended particles from entering internal electrical components. The motor withstands water splashes from all directions. Asymmetric internal air circulation is adopted for IC01 version.
IC611 / IP55
Fully enclosed design fitted with an air-to-air heat exchanger. Shaft-mounted fans are installed inside and outside the motor housing to drive internal and external cooling circuits separately. The unit offers reliable protection against dust and omnidirectional water splashes.
IC81W / IP55
A fully enclosed motor equipped with an air-to-water heat exchanger. An internal shaft-mounted fan circulates air for the internal cooling circuit. It is dust-proof and resistant to water splashes from all directions.
IC31 / IP55
This configuration is reserved with air inlet and outlet connections for remote cooling air supply. It is essentially an AMI motor frame without top cover. Protection against dust and all-direction water splashes is guaranteed.
Packaging
Standard seaworthy export packaging: plywood case or fumigated wooden case.
Packaging design adapts to long-distance sea and land transportation.
Warranty Terms
Standard warranty validity: 12 months from commissioning or 18 months after delivery, whichever comes first.
