AMI motors offer versatile enclosure and cooling configurations to suit various environmental and operational demands:
IC01 / IP24 (Weather Protected)
This weather-protected motor features a shaft-mounted cooling fan inside the housing. Its design minimizes the ingress of rain, snow, and airborne particles into the electrical components. The air intake path is engineered so that the average velocity does not exceed 3 m/s, allowing heavier particles to settle. The intake path includes three acute direction changes in excess of 90 degrees to further reduce flow rate to optimal levels. The motor is fully protected against splashing water from any direction.
IC611 / IP55 (Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger)
This fully enclosed design utilizes an air-to-air heat exchanger mounted on the motor. Shaft-mounted fans are fitted both inside and outside the casing to supply independent internal and external cooling circuits. It provides comprehensive protection against dust and splashing water from any direction.
IC81W / IP55 (Air-to-Water Heat Exchanger)
This fully enclosed motor is equipped with an air-to-water heat exchanger. A shaft-mounted fan inside the casing supplies the internal cooling circuit. Like the IC611, it offers complete protection against dust and splashing water from any direction.
IC31 / IP55 (Remote Cooling Air)
This version is fitted with inlet and outlet pipes to utilize remote cooling air. Essentially, this is the AMI motor frame without an upper cover, providing protection against dust and splashing water from any direction.
IC01 (Asymmetric Air Circulation)
This variant features IC01 cooling with an asymmetric inside air circulation design for specialized thermal management.
To ensure safe transit, all AMI motors are shipped in standard seaworthy packages suitable for export. Options include plywood packaging or wooden fumigation packaging, making them highly suitable for long-distance transportation by sea or land.
