The AMI Series modular induction motors are engineered for the toughest and most demanding applications, offering high reliability and availability. Built on the motor industry's most successful modular platform, these motors are tailor-made to meet the specific needs of each customer and application, providing the flexibility to be adapted to highly specific configurations.
The motors feature a welded steel frame and support both direct-on-line (DOL) and variable speed drive (VSD) operation, complying with all relevant international standards. The standard shaft heights range from 400mm to 630mm, with options for both horizontal and vertical mounting.
The technical data in this catalog is based on 50Hz; however, the motors are also suitable for 60Hz operation, with synchronous speeds ranging from 500 to 3600rpm. The catalog covers output powers up to 8,000kW, while the complete range extends up to 23,000kW.

IC01 / IP24 — Weather Protected
This motor features a shaft-mounted cooling fan inside the housing. The design reduces the ingress of rain, snow, and airborne particles into the electrical parts. The air intake path maintains an average velocity not exceeding 3m/s, allowing heavier particles to settle. The intake path includes three acute direction changes in excess of 90 degrees to further reduce flow rate to the optimal level. The motor is protected against splashing water from any direction.
IC611 / IP55 — Air-to-Air Cooled
This fully enclosed design features an air-to-air heat exchanger mounted on the motor. Shaft-mounted fans are fitted both inside and outside the casing to supply the internal and external cooling circuits respectively. The motor is protected against dust and splashing water from any direction.
IC81W / IP55 — Air-to-Water Cooled
This fully enclosed motor is fitted with an air-to-water heat exchanger. A shaft-mounted fan is fitted inside the casing to supply the internal cooling circuit. The motor is protected against dust and splashing water from any direction.
IC31 / IP55 — Remote Ventilated
This version is fitted with inlet and outlet pipes for remote cooling air. Essentially, this is the AMI motor frame without an upper cover. The motor is protected against dust and splashing water from any direction.
IC01 — Asymmetric Internal Circulation
Features an asymmetric inside air circulation design for specific ventilation conditions.
Standard seaworthy package for export. Options include plywood packaging or wooden fumigation packaging, suitable for long-distance transportation by sea or land.
Standard warranty: 12 months after commissioning, or 18 months after delivery, whichever comes first. Extended warranty periods are available upon request.
