Product Description
The YJS series compact rib-cooled motors feature a rugged cast iron frame, designed as totally enclosed fan-cooled units. As standard, they come with IC411 cooling and IP55 protection. For specialized needs, IC416 cooling and an optional IP66 protection rating are also available.
These motors cover an output range of up to 2,250 kW and are available with a shaft height of 560mm. They support both horizontal (B3) and vertical (V1) mounting configurations. Capable of operating at both 50Hz and 60Hz, the YJS motors offer synchronous speeds ranging from 500 to 3600 rpm.
Mounting Arrangements
- IM B3 / IM 1001: Standard floor mounting with feet facing downwards (horizontal foot mounted).
- IM V1 / IM 3011: Flange and free shaft end facing downwards (vertical solid shaft, flange mounted).
Enclosure and Cooling Systems
IC411 / IP55 Configuration
- Cooling: Features an external shaft-mounted fan that utilizes surrounding air for cooling.
- Dust Protection: Dust-protected; some dust may enter but not in quantities sufficient to interfere with motor operation.
- Water Protection: Protected against water jets from any direction without harmful effects.
- IC416 / IP55 Configuration
- Cooling: Includes an additional motor driving the cooling fan, producing the necessary cooling for low-speed applications. This is especially beneficial when the motor is fed via a variable speed drive.
- IP66 Protection Rating (Optional)
- Dust Protection: The enclosure is completely dust-tight.
- Water Protection: Protected against powerful water jets (12.5 mm nozzle) from any direction without harmful effects.
- Cooling Method Details (IC411)
- Frame Surface Cooled: The primary coolant circulates in a closed circuit, transferring heat through the external motor surface (plain or ribbed, with or without an outer shell) to the surrounding medium.
- Self-Circulation: Coolant movement depends on the main motor's rotational speed, driven by the rotor, a dedicated component, or a mechanically driven fan/pump unit.
Packaging
Export-ready standard seaworthy packaging, utilizing plywood or wooden fumigation packages, fully suitable for long-distance transportation by sea or land.
Warranty Period
- Standard Warranty: 12 months after commissioning, or 18 months after delivery, whichever comes first.
