The AMI modular induction motor delivers outstanding reliability and operational stability for heavy‑duty industrial working conditions.

Built on a mature modular platform, this motor can be customised to satisfy diverse project‑specific requirements. It complies with global prevailing industry standards and supports both direct‑on‑line (DOL) startup and variable speed drive (VSD) operating modes.

The motor adopts welded steel housing construction. Standard configurable cooling and protection combinations include IC01/IP24W, IC611/IP55 and IC81W/IP55, with frame heights ranging from 400 mm to 630 mm. Both horizontal and vertical installation options are supported.

Technical data listed in the product catalogue is mainly based on 50Hz operating condition. Nevertheless, the motor can run under 50Hz or 60Hz power supply, achieving synchronous speed ranging from 500 rpm to 3600 rpm. The catalogue covers power output up to 8000 kW, while the full product portfolio can reach 23000 kW maximum output power.

Mounting Arrangements

IM B3 (IM 1001): Horizontal foot‑mounted configuration as standard.

IM V1 (IM 4011): Vertical flange‑mounted version, free shaft end pointing downward.

Special mounting forms can be supplied upon customer request.

Enclosure & Cooling Options

IC01 / IP24

It is a weather‑resistant motor fitted with shaft‑driven internal cooling fan. The airflow channel design limits intake air velocity below 3 m/s and sets multiple sharp air flow turns over 90°, making heavy impurities settle down. This design effectively blocks rain, snow and suspended particles from entering internal electrical components, and offers protection against water splashes from all directions.

IC611 / IP55

Fully enclosed structure equipped with air‑to‑air heat exchanger. Shaft‑driven fans are installed inside and outside the motor casing for separate internal and external cooling loops. It provides reliable protection against dust ingress and multi‑directional splashing water.

IC81W / IP55

This totally enclosed motor utilises air‑to‑water heat exchanger. The internally installed shaft‑mounted fan circulates air for inner cooling circuit. Dust‑proof and splash‑proof performance meets IP55 standard.

IC31 / IP55

Designed with dedicated air inlet and outlet pipes for external remote cooling air supply. This variant removes the top cover of standard AMI motor housing, and holds IP55 rating for dust and splash water defence.

Features asymmetrical internal air circulation layout.

Packaging

Export‑oriented standard seaworthy packing solutions are available, including plywood cases or fumigated wooden crates. The package is engineered to adapt to long‑haul sea and land transportation.

Warranty Terms
