Basic introduction of Wound Rotor Induction Machine:
Wound rotor induction machine is a motor product developed and manufactured based on years of research and development and production experience of high-voltage three-phase asynchronous motors. The wound rotor unit adopts box type structure. The frame is a steel plate welded box structure, featuring light weight and good rigidity. The stator of YRKS large high-voltage slip ring machine adopts slide-in external press-fit structure. Stator winding uses Class F insulation material, and the winding ends are reliably fixed and bundled. During manufacturing, the stator undergoes multiple inter-turn pulse voltage tests and ground pressure tests with vacuum pressure impregnation solventless paint process (VPI). As a result, the machine has excellent and reliable insulation performance, good mechanical strength and strong moisture resistance.

The wound rotor is processed with Class F insulation and VPI solventless paint impregnation. All rotor welding joints and wiring sections are fully insulated. The slip ring and stator winding are placed in two isolated spaces to avoid carbon toner entering the windings. Two bearing options are available: rolling bearing and sliding bearing. The basic protection grade is IP54 according to machine power and speed. Higher protection requirements for the wound rotor will upgrade the bearing protection level accordingly. The main high-voltage outlet box reaches IP54 protection grade. It is normally mounted on the right side when facing the shaft extension end, and can be arranged on the left side upon request. The main outlet box is equipped with a separate external ground terminal. A standalone water cooler system is fitted on the top of the wound rotor induction machine.

This machine is suitable for environments where ambient air temperature does not exceed 40 °C, without heavy dust. The minimum ambient air temperature is -15 °C, and no corrosive or explosive gas exists in the air. Damp heat or high-altitude versions are also available on request.
